4v3 in to 4v5 in to 6v5 Transitions
Equipment: Flat markers, balls and bibs
Set up as shown. Split your group in to two teams. The initial attacking team play a 4v3 down the middle channel, with the aim to score a goal. Play the attack until the ball crosses the baseline/23m line or a goal is scored. If a foul is committed in the circle, play a free hit on the edge of the circle. If the defending team win the ball their aim is to pass it to their team mate on the 23m line.
When the first attack is over the teams transition from attack/defence. A second attack starts, with the teams in opposite roles. Play out this attack as before. The teams then transition again for a third attack down the opposite channel.
Speed of thought and play are key to gain an advantage in this exercise!
Change up the initial attacking team after each round of 3 Attacks.
Points can be awarded for winning PCA, scoring goals, clean ball wins, securing possession outside the 23m lien for the defending team.
